Hayley began her career as a professional actress. After a number of minor successes in this area, frustrated by the lack of regular work and mental challenge, her communication and interpersonal skills quickly led her to a career as a Recruitment Consultant with Blue Arrow.
With her customer interfacing experience she worked as Customer and Sales support Manager for over 3 years with Courage Ltd and began her inevitable career in training more than 20 years ago. She was headhunted by Tiny Computers to take the role of Group Training Manager during their massive expansion into the USA, Hong Kong and China.
During her time at Tiny she was responsible for developing and implementing the training and development strategy for over 2000 members of staff. With her team of 20 trainers they provided a portfolio of over 60 courses world-wide. Her role developed into an internal consultant position providing objective unbiased analysis and solutions for internal departments.
Hayley has been a successful International Training Consultant for more than 14 years.
A creative optimist, Hayley’s drive comes from a passionate belief that everyone should be encouraged to reach their potential – so benefiting individuals and organisations with self motivated focused employees. A successful manager herself with over 10 years experience, she uses these experiences to turn the theories into tangible examples her delegates can relate to.
Her training has been described as “inspirational” with her natural ability to quickly build rapport and develop successful business relationships with a diverse group of delegates and clients. As a trainer Hayley has to believe 100% in her material that the theory can in practice be useful in the day to day reality of the commercial world.
She has an interactive, relaxed style, and is able to react quickly to the individual needs of the group. She maintains a fun stimulating environment through creative exercises, variety of pace, desk toys, music and a keen sense of humour!
Some of her projects have been; a management development programme and customer care programme for the government (House of Commons), a 12 month team leadership development programme for Norbain – this involved 5 modules with related projects and assignments culminating in a final presentation on the benefits of the programme to board of directors. Each delegate has seen tangible benefits not just in terms of confidence and knowledge, in some cases promotion, but also in significant improvements to the structure of their departments and way it operates. Such was the success of this programme that the client has commissioned a 4th run of the programme. Hayley has worked with the financial sector and in a regulatory environment, working with Lloyds, Egg, HIFX, ING Direct and Citigroup. She has been working with RBS and Coutts on a customer communication programme delivering to over 200 delegates, and HomeServe on a 7 month project ensuring their communication is compliant with regulations and delights the customer.
She has also delivered and inspired analysts and investment bankers for Seymour Pierce helping them to communicate and present with impact! A modular Management development programme and Advanced Presentation skills was successfully delivered to Avis/Budget Group and Lindt and Sprungli. Hayley has also been training managers and sales teams at Citrix for the past 3 years helping them to hone their presentation skills, she has had 100% success rate in terms of increasing skill and confidence in this area. More recently Hayley has designed and delivery a successful customer care project for ADP resulting in a 35% increase in NPS score, due to its success it is being rolled out to other areas of the business. In addition to this she has recently written and presented a number of training films as part of an ongoing management programme, for SSVC who provide TV, Radio broadcasting and entertainment to the British Forces, and regularly delivers a number of successful Webinars with over 1000 listeners!
